What do you believe is the purpose of a college education? I believe the purpose of a college education is to help you understand what you're good at and what you want to choose as a career for the rest of your life. A college education deeps much deeper than a high school education did. Your classes are going to be harder because they are going to be filled with a lot more detail. College education is just a step towards your career.
What does it mean to be educated?
What I think means to be education is that you can have a little bit of everything knowledge-wise. I don't only mean coursework, this can include life experiences, and the repetition of a common task even. There are so many ways that education can be described but I believe you should be a well-rounded individual with the ability to know just some of this and some of that and being able to help others understand even the littlest things.
What experiences have you had with education that led you to this belief?
The experiences I've had with education that led me to this belief would probably have to be the people I've surrounded myself with all throughout high school. Each and every one of my friends were stronger in a certain subject. Once I thought about it, I figured that if you put all of my closest friends together, that could be one very educated person. It doesn't matter where you come from, it matters where you're going. If you take a little bit in at a time and consolidate your memory every once in a while, you could turn out to be an even more educated person you never would've thought you couldn't been.
